Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. Additionally, all team members may be called upon to support proposal efforts as needed. This could include resume formatting, providing skills alignment summaries, participating in meetings, or contributing to solutioning activities based on subject matter expertise or functional experience.. . Serve as a Business Analyst on a team at a Federal Government with an information-sharing mission in support of building applications using the Agile development methodology. Be part of a dynamic team that works closely with the client on a day-to-day basis. The ability to be flexible is important as client requirements can shift. Be eager to learn client business in-depth and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the development team. The client atmosphere is congenial and welcomes ideas that can improve productivity. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys leading/driving business system requirements, facilitating refinement sessions, and taking ownership of the system's functionality. . Under minimal direction, perform as a Business Analyst as part of an agile development team involved in the development of a mission-critical cloud (AWS) based application. Take ownership for business needs discovery and documentation with a proactive mindset.. Responsibilities. . Capture detailed business requirements, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria in JIRA. . . Work with Product Owner/System Owner, Development, UX/UI, QA team, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure alignment and proper interpretation of complex functional requirements. . . Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability, mapping user stories to software test cases, applicable business processes, wireframes, and UX comps. . . Leverage strong written and verbal communication skills to drive requirements sessions in a large setting including Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Project Manager, Architect, Team Leads, and client personnel. . . Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and continuously improve business analysis efforts, identify and close gaps. . . Document functional specifications, traceability matrices, process flow diagrams, wireframes, meeting agenda, meeting minutes, and other supporting artifacts. . . Review and update or create product documentation such as user guides, release notes, system design documents, and administrator manuals. . . Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Review, and Retrospective sessions. . .  . . 5+ years of experience in documenting business and functional requirements . . 3+ years working in an Agile environment, with demonstrated ability to clearly articulate User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to development teams . . Experience involving complex workflows within custom, web-based software platforms. . . Demonstrated ability to elicit, create, and analyze functional and non-functional requirements . . Experience organizing and maintaining Product and Sprint backlogs . . Experience presenting detailed summaries of progress and updates . . Ability to facilitate and drive group discussions to build a shared understanding of software requirements . . Ability to foster solid working relationships with senior-level management and subject matter experts within the team and client organization . . Experience working within teams that include remote team members . . Experience with technical writing of user manuals, release notes, and other software system documentation . . Propensity to mentor staff on functional expertise and provide peer reviews of deliverables . . Confident in requirement knowledge to help lead change and implement new strategies . . Ability to work independently and in an awesome team setting . . Experience with Jira and Confluence . . Excellent written and verbal communication skills . . Ability to pass a Public Trust government background check . .  . PREFERRED EXPERIENCE . . 2+ years federal contracting experience . . Ability to develop and deliver presentations to client stakeholders . . Familiarity with Section 508 and WCAG 2.X accessibility standards  . . Certifications such as CSM, ITIL . . Experience with screen readers such as JAWS/NVDA . . Experience with coordinating production support efforts . . Work Environment & Physical Requirements. This is a remote/work-from-home position. The employee is expected to maintain a professional and distraction-free home office environment with reliable internet access and the ability to participate in video and audio calls during standard working hours. Standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and webcam will be used regularly. .  . Travel Requirement. This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions.
