The Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees the organization’s ongoing operations and procedures by leading, managing, and holding the leadership team accountable. As a key member of the senior management team, the COO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and integrates policies that promote company culture, team unity, accountability, and vision through operations.. Provide mentoring and professional development to employees, including management. . Strategic Planning & Execution. Translate the company’s vision into actionable annual and quarterly goals. . Drive execution of business plans and ensure alignment across teams. . Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and simplify organizational focus. . Present a united front with the CEO in leadership communications. . Performance Management & Data. Build and maintain performance dashboards with key metrics. . Monitor departmental metrics, forecast issues, and trigger problem-solving. . Continuously improve operational processes internally and externally. . Issue Resolution & Cross-Functional Integration. Identify and solve root causes of operational issues. . Remove obstacles and resolve cross-functional conflicts. . Integrate departments to ensure organizational alignment and efficiency. . Process Development & Standardization. Document critical processes and ensure adherence company-wide. . Roll out training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. . Meeting Cadence & Operating Rhythm. Lead weekly leadership meetings, quarterly planning sessions, and annual strategy meetings. . Publish agendas, action items, and review key metrics regularly. . Operations Excellence. Oversee day-to-day delivery, capacity planning, and resource allocation. . Drive project health, risk management, and service quality. . Champion customer experience and continuous improvement. . Finance, HR & Administration. Own P&L outcomes and partner with Finance on budgets and forecasts. . Establish compensation, performance management frameworks, and talent plans. . Ensure legal, policy, and security compliance across operations. . Sales & Marketing Alignment. Align operational capacity with pipeline and growth strategy. . Ensure seamless handoffs from Sales to Delivery and address process gaps. . Support implementation of new sales and marketing initiatives.. Required Experience/Skills. 10+ years leading operations for a professional services or technology firm.. Deep understanding of business functions: Operations, HR, Finance, Sales, and Marketing.. Demonstrated success building operating rhythms, performance dashboards, and cross-functional processes at scale.. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.. Expertise leading managers; strong coaching, conflict resolution, and change leadership skills.. Data-driven decision-making; comfort with financial statements and operating metrics.. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills—both prepared and impromptu.. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage conflict and promote cohesion.. Working knowledge of IT/business infrastructure and MS Office..
