We’re looking for a creative, driven design intern to join our team for . Fall 2025 (September - November 2025). .. What does the role involve?. As a graphic design intern at Middle Seat, you’ll work closely with our design team to support real campaigns and causes with impactful visuals. You’ll create social media graphics, digital ads, print collateral, branding assets, and more. You’ll be encouraged to bring your own creative voice while learning how to collaborate in a fast-paced political design environment.. This role is available either remotely or in person at our Washington, D.C. office.. You’ll get experience in:. . Designing graphics for email, social media, and digital ads. . Applying brand guidelines to new and existing creative. . Building simple animations (GIFs, video loops) and editing video clips. . Assisting with print materials like flyers, proposals, and direct mail. . Supporting the creative team on larger design projects including identity design and web graphics. . Receiving and implementing feedback from designers, strategists, and clients. . Collaborating with strategists, developers, and other creatives to deliver cross-platform assets. . This role is for you if:. . You’re excited by the idea of using design to drive progressive change. . You enjoy solving visual problems and thinking creatively. . You’re comfortable using tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva. . You’re detail-oriented, take feedback well, and are always looking to learn. . You’re a senior, in your last year of an undergraduate program, or a recent grad. . It would be nice if you:. . Have experience working on design for advocacy, nonprofit, or political projects. . Are familiar with Adobe After Effects or other motion design tools. . Know how to edit short videos using After Effects or Premiere Pro. . Have a working knowledge of accessibility in design. . Are interested in UX/UI or web design. . And it’s essential that you:. . Are committed to working for progressive, left-of-center political candidates and causes. . Are a team player. . Follow the news and understand key progressive issues (i.e. abortion access, racial justice, labor rights, climate action, etc.). . Are available full-time (or near full-time, 30–40 hours/week). .
