We’re seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting team and help us scale our accounting operations. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day accounting function, manage a team of accountants and contractors, and ensure compliance and accuracy in all aspects of our financial reporting. Oversee and optimize all accounting operations including inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, rev rec, reconciliations, expense management, and payroll.. . Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with GAAP.. . Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls that balance growth with risk management.. . Lead annual financial statement audits and put recommendations into action.. . Work closely with the Senior Manager, Special Projects to identify and drive process improvements and support systems implementations.. . Manage day to day lender operations, ensuring timely submission of all reporting.. . Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and tax filings in the US and international markets.. . Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.. . Lead, mentor, and continue to develop our accounting team.. . . Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.. . 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.. . Experience in a high-growth startup is a huge plus.. . Deep understanding of inventory accounting and revenue recognition under US GAAP.. . Proficiency in a variety of ERP systems, bonus points for ERP implementation experience.. . Strong attention to detail and time management skills. . . Strong communication skills and the ability to translate financial concepts for a variety of audiences, including executives.. .
