We are currently looking for a Vice President, Clinical (Research & Development) in the United States.. This executive role leads clinical development strategy for vaccine candidates, overseeing all clinical operations from early to late-stage trials within a mission-driven environment focused on global vaccine innovation. As a key member of the R&D leadership team, you will direct cross-functional collaboration, regulatory interactions, and program execution while managing teams and external partnerships. The role demands a strategic mindset and strong scientific expertise to ensure successful clinical development and regulatory approval in a highly impactful and collaborative setting.. . Accountabilities:. . Lead clinical development strategy and execution for vaccine candidates across all trial phases, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.. . Manage clinical teams, consultants, and cross-functional partners to drive clinical operations, safety, data management, and regulatory compliance.. . Serve as the primary clinical representative in interactions with investigators, regulatory bodies, partners, and funders.. . Oversee design and implementation of clinical trial protocols, safety surveillance, and reporting.. . Support business development activities including due diligence, pipeline expansion, and funding applications.. . Contribute to R&D leadership by setting strategic priorities, managing budgets, and mentoring staff.. . . Medical Doctor (MD) degree or equivalent with a minimum of 16 years’ experience, including 10+ years in vaccine clinical development.. . Extensive expertise managing global clinical trials, especially in low- and middle-income countries preferred.. . Deep knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH/GCP guidelines, and vaccine clinical trial best practices.. . Proven success leading high-performing teams and securing regulatory approvals.. . Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.. . Experience with government or philanthropic funding processes preferred.. .
