We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Lending in the United Kingdom.. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a high-performance, scalable global lending platform used by banks, fintechs, and marketplaces. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to design and implement robust, event-driven microservices that meet high standards of security, availability, and performance. Develop and maintain Java-based applications for the lending platform, leveraging AWS cloud services.. . Participate in technical analysis and translate product requirements into scalable solutions.. . Design, implement, and optimize microservices and event-driven architectures, addressing distributed transaction challenges.. . Collaborate in architectural decisions and provide guidance on best practices.. . Manage infrastructure using Terraform for provisioning and removal of AWS resources.. . Monitor applications using metrics and logs via tools such as Grafana, ensuring reliability and performance.. . Contribute to a culture of quality, observability, and continuous improvement across the team.. . . 5+ years of relevant software development experience, primarily in Java.. . Experience with AWS services (AWS certification is mandatory).. . Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.. . Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.. . Experience with testing strategies including unit, integration, and load testing.. . Knowledge of Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and API specifications (Postman, OpenAPI/Swagger) is advantageous.. . Ability to design architectural solutions and optimize cloud-based databases (DynamoDB experience a plus).. . Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.. .
