Business Development Director at KIHOMAC. The Business Development Director is primarily responsible for finding opportunities and revenue within certain customer segments to build the BD portfolio in support of the company’s growth goals. They will partner with the leadership team and Profit & Lost (P&L) Groups to provide expertise in both the design and execution of business development and capture campaign efforts.. Expertise and Functions . Identify future business opportunities and promote the value of the KIHOMAC portfolio. . Develop strategy and tactics using in-depth knowledge of customer needs, KIHOMAC products and services, and competitive environment to foster business growth. . Verify, evaluate, and apply detailed customer knowledge to advance campaign activity, support the long-range business plan and contribute to strategy development. . Contact new customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services. . Support corporate and P&L pipeline and CRM development, as well as help administer the platforms that manage these databases  . . Support Capture Manager and Proposal Manager to define and refine Win Themes and Competitive Intel, build competitive teams, hold Gate Reviews and Color Teams, and increase opportunity Pwin. . Plan, attend and present at meetings, conferences, and trade shows at times to increase the visibility of the company. . Other duties as assigned. . Education/Training (both required and desired):.   . Bachelor’s Degree in management or other relevant discipline required. Master’s Degree preferred  . . . Experience:. . 6+ years of professional experience in the required task area . . Experience with the Department of Defense acquisition process, Government/DoD budget, investments, and an understanding of legislative or Congressional activities. . Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives. . Business capture experience. . Experience helping develop strategic long range business plans. . Security:. Must be a US citizen. . Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required. . Preference will be given to candidates with current active security clearance. . Physical Requirements:. . Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms. . Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk. . Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.). . Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time. . Company Location: United States.
