Chief Technology Officer at Zipdev. We’re looking for a hands-on, visionary . Chief Technology Officer. to lead our client into its next chapter. You’ll take ownership of a solid and growing codebase, scale a talented engineering team, and establish best-in-class practices for speed, reliability, and innovation—especially as we deepen our investments in AI. This is a rare opportunity to lead both strategy and execution at a moment of real momentum.. As CTO, you’ll:. . Lead and grow a distributed engineering team (currently 5 developers, mostly in LatAm). . Own architecture and technical decision-making across our stack. . Drive a clear, forward-looking technical vision, especially around AI chat solutions and AI-assisted development workflows. . Improve dev velocity and reliability by strengthening QA, CI/CD, and operational processes. . Collaborate closely with Product and Design to turn customer needs into beautifully executed software. . Report directly to the CEO and work alongside the CPO to shape strategy and roadmap. . . Our Stack. . Frontend: Vue.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS. . Backend: Spring Boot (Java & Kotlin). . Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres. . AI: OpenAI + evolving AI-assisted workflows (Cursor, Claude, and beyond). . . 7 -15 years of software engineering working experience. . Previous experience as a Software Architect or Team lead in a . start-up. environment or corporate. . . Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams in a startup or growth-stage environment. . Strong architectural experience across full-stack platforms, especially cloud-native, containerized deployments. . Deep comfort with modern dev practices: CI/CD, test automation, incident response, observability, etc.. . Experience integrating or building advanced AI/ML systems (especially LLMs or conversational agents). . Ability to build remote-first team culture: clear communication, ownership, mentorship, and velocity. . A product-oriented mindset—comfortable working cross-functionally to find scrappy, elegant solutions. . . Company Location: Costa Rica.
