We are seeking an experienced Telephony Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize critical SIP trunking and VoIP infrastructure. In this role, you will manage high-impact projects, implement automation solutions, and ensure seamless telecommunication operations across a complex, global environment. As a Telephony Engineer, you will:. . Design, implement, and maintain SIP trunking, VoIP systems, and related telecommunication infrastructure.. . Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system reliability and voice quality.. . Lead incident response efforts and resolve high-priority outages promptly.. . Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, shell scripting, Ansible, or REST APIs to streamline processes.. . Work with telephony software and SBC platforms such as FreeSwitch, Ribbon SBC, PSX, or OpenSIP.. . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate best practices into telephony systems and network architectures.. . Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure, call flows, troubleshooting procedures, and system configurations.. . Implement monitoring solutions using ELK, Grafana, Splunk, or similar tools to ensure proactive detection and resolution of issues.. . The ideal candidate will have:. . 5+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, either with carriers or managing carrier networks.. . Deep understanding of SIP, RTP, RTCP, TLS, SRTP, TCP handshake, packet capture, and VoIP architectures.. . Experience with voice quality assessment, PBX functionalities, audio conferencing, and contact center flows.. . Proficiency with BGP routing, networking protocols, and various telephony platforms.. . Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, shell scripting, Ansible, REST APIs).. . Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Google Cloud), monitoring and CI/CD tools (ELK, Grafana, Splunk, Jenkins, Git).. . Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.. .
