As part of our mission to set a new standard in digital mental health education, we’re seeking a competent, clinical academic to join as Deputy Head of Clinical Education and Development. This role is ideally suited to someone who brings both frontline mental health experience and a solid grounding in academic rigour, curriculum structure, and evidence-informed learning design. Clinical Education Design & Delivery. . Design and deliver evidence-informed training for clinical, service delivery, and wider cross-functional teams. . Develop structured, academically credible training pathways that prepare for external accreditation. . Ensure content is therapeutically grounded and digitally engaging, informed by best practice and innovation. . Academic Collaboration & Rigour. . Embed structured learning outcomes, assessment strategies, and quality assurance into programmes. . Align internal content with academic standards (e.g. level descriptors, mapped competencies). . Support preparation for external validation, inspections, and educational governance. . Leadership, Culture & Quality Improvement. . Line manage and support clinical educators and facilitators, modelling inclusive, psychologically safe leadership to foster team growth, performance, and reflective practice.. . Lead co-produced education design, embedding user voice and lived experience in all stages of learning development.. . Use clinical outcome data, learner feedback, and trend analysis to inform content updates, address knowledge gaps, and monitor education impact.. . Head of Clinical Education and Training to narrate progress and mitigate risk.. . Champion learning that demonstrably enhances digital care quality and clinical effectiveness.. . Collaborate across clinical governance, product, UX, and operational teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all education programmes.. . Deputise for the Head of Clinical Education and Training as required, representing the function and maintaining continuity across projects and team delivery.. . Essential. . A registered mental health professional (e.g. HCPC, NMC, Social Work England, BACP, UKCP). . Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience with a strong clinical foundation in mental health care. . Demonstrable experience designing and delivering clinical education or training in a healthcare, academic, or digital setting. . Strong understanding and experience of curriculum design, learning outcomes, assessment planning, and educational governance (e.g. CPD frameworks, accreditation processes). . Experience working in, or with, digital mental health services, with the ability to navigate and optimise systems for learning and service improvement. . Competent in the use and development of a Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support learning delivery, tracking, and improvement. . Experience designing or facilitating peer-led, cohort-based learning and reflective practice programmes. . Confident using outcome data, learner insights, and digital tools to inform education design, track quality, and drive continuous improvement. . Passion for values-led, inclusive, trauma-informed learning that empowers others and improves clinical outcomes. . Proven ability to lead or contribute to co-production with people with lived experience in the design and evaluation of learning. . Desirable. . Postgraduate qualification in education, training, learning design, or supervision (e.g. PGCert, FHEA, Level 7 L&D, DProf Ed). . Experience supporting or leading programme validation, external accreditation processes, or professional body submissions. . Familiarity with designing for hybrid or blended learning models in health or wellbeing contexts. . Expertise in quality assurance mechanisms (e.g. audit, evaluation frameworks, logic models) within education or clinical settings. . Experience working in cross-functional project teams across clinical, digital, and design environments. . Knowledge of NHS and regulatory education standards (e.g. Core Skills Training Framework, HEE guidance, NMC/HCPC/BACP education standards). . Company Location: United Kingdom.
