Packaging/Carton Designer at Remote VA. RemoteVA is looking for a Packaging/Carton Designer with hands-on experience in structural design for folding cartons (chipboard boxes). This role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision, creativity, and technical expertise in packaging design.. As a key part of our creative team, you will be responsible for designing packaging that is functional, brand-appropriate, and cost-efficient. Your work will be pivotal in helping our clients bring their products to market safely and stylishly.. Responsibilities. -Design and develop folding carton structures to fit specific product dimensions and client requirements.. -Create dielines and 3D prototypes using ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design.. -Collaborate with clients and production teams to ensure accurate specs and production readiness.. -Recommend box styles and materials based on product protection, cost-efficiency, and branding.. -Maintain organized project files and version control.. -Optimize structural design for manufacturability and assembly.. -Stay up to date with industry trends and materials.. Qualifications. -Minimum 2 years of experience in folding carton/structural packaging design.. -Proficient in ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design.. -Strong understanding of packaging materials, die-cutting, gluing, and finishing processes.. -Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.. -Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into packaging solutions.. -Experience with various folding styles (e.g., tuck-end, crash bottom, lock bottom, sleeve, etc.).. -Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
