Field Facilitators - 3 positions at International Institute of Tropical Agriculture(IITA). ·        Assist in project coordination between farmers, extension and BioSSA researchers with the assigned cluster.. ·        Assist with layout, planting and management of the trails . ·        Collect plant and soil data from established trials.. ·        Keep proper records of demonstration plots and the recorded data.. ·        Submit weekly report on the demonstration trials to BioSSA scientists.. ·        Arrange field visits to the demonstration trials as directed by BioSSA project Coordinator. ·        Train farmers in proper handling and application of effective bio-input products.. ·         Any other duties that may be assigned by project management.. The candidate should have a Diploma in Agriculture with specialization on crops research and management..  . Core Competencies. ·         Relevant work experience in agricultural research of at least 3 years. . ·         Good understanding of the maize and beans cropping system in Tanzania.. ·         Ability to work with and maintain a good relationship with famers.. ·         A good Knowledge of farming systems in Siha District. ·         Be a good team player and highly self-motivated..  .
