As the first-ever Director of Quality, you will establish and lead the company-wide quality function at Terabase Energy. This is a high-impact corporate role responsible for developing and scaling a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) spanning our internal processes, manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering deliverables, and field deployment practices. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, manufacturing, field services, and supplier teams to ensure consistent quality standards, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance. .  . Key Responsibilities . Quality Management System: Design, implement, and oversee a scalable, ISO-aligned QMS that supports the full lifecycle of Terabase’s products and services, including hardware, software, and field deployment. . Process & Documentation Control: Establish and maintain company-wide standards for process documentation, version control, work instructions, and compliance tracking. . Supplier Quality: Develop and lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and audit programs. Monitor supplier performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed. . Incoming Material Inspection: Build robust processes for materials receiving and inspection at manufacturing and integration sites. . Manufacturing Quality: Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to define in-process checks, quality metrics, and final inspection protocols. Monitor yields, defects, and rework rates to drive improvements. . Engineering & Product Quality: Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate quality into design reviews, prototyping, and validation testing. Ensure traceability and documentation of product changes. . Field Feedback Loop: Support the implementation of tools and processes for capturing and addressing field quality issues, warranty claims, and customer feedback. . Training & Culture: Champion a culture of quality across the organization. Develop training programs and best practices that engage teams at all levels. . Metrics & Reporting: Define and report on key quality indicators to leadership. Provide regular updates and risk assessments to executive stakeholders. .  . Required Qualifications . 10+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality systems roles, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity. . Demonstrated experience setting up or significantly scaling a corporate quality function from the ground up. . Deep knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards; experience leading audits and certifications preferred. . Experience with quality in hardware manufacturing, electronics, and/or industrial systems; software quality familiarity a plus. . Proven track record implementing quality control in supply chain and manufacturing environments. . Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience working with engineering, product, and operations teams. . Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or related discipline; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) a plus. .  . Preferred Qualifications . Experience in renewable energy, especially solar or utility-scale infrastructure. . Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and QMS tools (e.g., Arena, NetSuite, MasterControl). . Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards relevant to electrical and industrial products. .  . Company Location: United States.
