The Staff Backend Engineer will design and build scalable, distributed backend systems that support AI-driven web services, data pipelines, and machine learning frameworks. Accountabilities. . Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Java and Scala, following software best practices.. . Build and manage distributed PostgreSQL database systems to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity.. . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features supporting AI platform expansion.. . Implement complex frameworks for processing and analyzing large volumes of data using machine learning techniques.. . Troubleshoot and resolve software and database issues in a timely manner.. . Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and consistency.. . Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability.. . . 10+ years of software development experience, with expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and database technologies.. . Proficiency in Java or Scala, with strong knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming principles.. . Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Java EE.. .
