Custom Furniture Designer at Remote VA. RemoteVA PH is looking for a highly skilled Designer/Draftsperson who specializes in custom furniture design (not standard kitchens). The ideal candidate will be an expert in producing detailed, accurate technical drawings and be proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp. A strong background in custom woodwork design is a significant advantage.. Key Responsibilities. -Create precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for custom furniture projects.. -Collaborate with clients, project managers, and craftsmen to ensure designs meet specifications.. -Prepare accurate shop drawings and construction details.. -Modify and adjust drawings based on feedback and production requirements.. -Ensure all designs comply with structural and material considerations for custom wood fabrication.. Qualifications. -Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (required).. -Proven experience creating detailed technical drawings for furniture or millwork.. -Knowledge of custom wood construction techniques (highly preferred).. -Strong attention to detail and ability to translate design concepts into production-ready drawings..
