Data and Reporting Manager at Qode. Data and Reporting Manager (Remote - Malaysia). January Capital is seeking an experienced Portfolio Data and Investor Reporting Manager to join our firm remotely from Malaysia. This role reports directly to January Capital's Head of Finance, manages 1 direct report (portfolio reporting analyst), and offers the opportunity to work alongside firm leadership to lead and scale January Capital's data and reporting capabilities through innovative technology solutions.. Role Responsibilities. Investor Reporting. . . Lead the end-to-end quarterly/half-yearly investor reporting process. for funds managed by the firm, continuously identifying opportunities to streamline and automate workflows. . . Collaborate cross-functionally. with investment, finance, legal and investor relations teams to gather inputs for investor reporting preparation. . . Review quarterly fund and portfolio returns calculations. for internal and external reporting, implementing quality control measures and automation where possible. . . Support investor relations team. in drafting/updating collateral, fund-related materials, AGM presentations, capital call/distribution notices, and quarterly update packs. . . Develop bespoke reporting materials. for key limited partners, leveraging data visualization and reporting tools. . Portfolio Engagement and Reporting. . . Establish and maintain regular communication. with finance directors or equivalent of portfolio companies to gather insights on financial performance, discuss reporting requirements, and ensure data accuracy. . . Conduct quarterly financial review calls. with portfolio company finance teams to understand business trends, challenges, and opportunities reflected in their financial reporting. . . Oversee comprehensive data collection and tracking. of portfolio key financial and performance metrics, implementing AI-powered tools and automated processes where applicable. . . Organize and prepare discussion materials. using advanced analytics and data visualization. . . Lead quarterly portfolio review (QPR) process. , ensuring all stakeholders adheres to the process, and tear sheets are completed with both qualitative and quantitative information relevant for discussion . . . Champion January Capital's portfolio reporting platform (Standard Metrics). , working closely with their product team to provide feedback on improvements, new features, and product roadmap input. . . Onboard new portfolio companies. to Standard Metrics, including alignment with portfolio managers on requirements and conducting platform demos with founders. . Other Reporting Requirements. . Provide accurate fund and portfolio company data. to compliance team for quarterly and ad-hoc regulatory reporting. Process Improvement & Technology Integration. . . Continuously evaluate and enhance. existing reporting processes using AI tools, automation software, and data analytics platforms. . . Collaborate with technology vendors. and internal teams to optimize reporting systems and workflows. . . Stay current with AI developments. in financial reporting, data analysis, and portfolio management tools. . Experience and Requirements. Essential Qualifications. . . Bachelor's Degree. in business, finance, accounting or related field. . . 8-10+ years of relevant industry experience. , preferably in venture capital, private equity or asset management. . . Proven experience. in regular communication with senior finance professionals (CFOs, Finance Directors) in a business context. . . Strong proficiency with AI tools and platforms. (ChatGPT, Claude, automation tools, data analytics software) with demonstrated ability to integrate these into work processes. . . Track record of process improvement. and operational efficiency initiatives. . . Remote work experience. with demonstrated ability to work effectively across geographies and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. . Core Competencies. . .
