
Commercial Real Estate Attorney at Professional Physical Therapy. Job Summary: . We are seeking a skilled and experienced attorney to join our legal team to manage and oversee our commercial real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial lease negotiation and management. This role will report to the General Counsel and involve overseeing all aspects of our facility leases, from negotiation through ongoing management.. Core Responsibilities:. · Work closely with outside counsel to review and negotiate commercial real estate leases, amendments, and related agreements. · Serve as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on lease matters, and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure alignment on lease terms and requirements. · Provide weekly updates to stakeholders regarding status of leases being negotiated. · Maintain lease templates and negotiation playbooks. · Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with real estate transactions. · Manage lease renewals, and terminations. · Provide strategic advice on lease portfolio optimization and risk management. Industry Knowledge:. · Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements affecting real estate (STARK, Anti-Kickback). · Understanding of medical office build-out requirements and compliance . · Experience with drafting and negotiating lease assignments, subleases, and amendments. · Knowledge of ADA compliance requirements for commercial spaces. Technology Requirements:. · Experience with LeaseHarbor lease management system. · Proficiency with contract management systems. · Familiarity with document automation tools and AI prompting. Salary: . $125k-150k. Skills and Experience Required:. · Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. · Member in good standing of state bar for NJ or NY. · 4-6 years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial real estate and lease agreements. · Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. · Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required. · Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
