As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Data Acquisition team, you will play a pivotal role in building robust, scalable systems that integrate complex healthcare data into a modern platform. You will work at the intersection of product, data, and healthcare infrastructure, designing resilient data ingestion pipelines and evolving integrations from batch ETL to real-time streaming. This role requires navigating ambiguity, working across teams, and building durable systems in regulated environments. You will contribute to a shared data platform powering multiple product lines while mentoring engineers and shaping the technical strategy. Your work directly impacts the company’s ability to deliver innovative healthcare solutions efficiently and reliably, improving access to data and patient experience across the industry.. Accountabilities. . Design and implement secure, resilient data ingestion systems connecting with hospital EMRs, billing vendors, and third-party platforms.. . Transition integrations from batch ETL to real-time streaming using standards like HL7, FHIR, and 835/837.. . Translate integration requirements into durable solutions, collaborating closely with product, delivery, and commercial teams.. . Build tooling and frameworks to accelerate client integrations and enhance reliability.. . Lead technical design, code reviews, and execution of critical integration initiatives.. . Mentor engineers and contribute to team-wide best practices in interoperability, data pipelines, and API design.. . Own systems end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.. . . 7+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in healthcare, fintech, or similarly complex and regulated data environments.. . Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining robust data integrations.. . Expertise in at least one major programming language and familiarity with real-time streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, Flink).. . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity.. . Experience working cross-functionally with product managers, client stakeholders, and commercial partners.. . Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.. .
