Patient Scheduling Coordinator (Ortho/Sports Med/PT) | Permanent WFH at BizForce. We are seeking an experienced . Patient Scheduling Coordinator.  with a strong background in . Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Physical Therapy specialties. . This role is critical in ensuring smooth patient flow, timely appointments, and excellent communication between patients, providers, and staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced medical environment.. Key Responsibilities:. . Schedule and coordinate patient appointments across orthopedic, sports medicine, and physical therapy practices.. . Verify insurance information, authorizations, and referrals prior to scheduling.. . Manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and efficiency.. . Utilize . RingCentral or similar communication software.  for patient coordination, messaging, and call management.. . Communicate appointment details, pre-visit instructions, and follow-up requirements to patients.. . Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure optimal scheduling and patient care.. . Maintain accurate records in the scheduling system and update patient information as needed.. . Handle cancellations, reschedules, and urgent appointment requests.. . Provide excellent customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience.. . Minimum of . 3 years’ experience.  as a Patient Scheduling Coordinator or in a similar healthcare administrative role.. . Experience in . Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and/or Physical Therapy specialties. .. . Strong knowledge of insurance verification and referral/authorization processes.. . Proficiency in medical scheduling systems (EMR/EHR experience required; Athena, Epic, or equivalent preferred).. . . Required:.  Knowledge of . RingCentral or similar call management software. .. . Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.. . Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.. . Amenable to work during U.S. business working hours.. .
