United States. .. In this role, you will be a key member of a fast-paced security team, helping to protect cloud and hybrid environments that support critical communications at scale. You will design, implement, and monitor security controls across cloud platforms, Kubernetes infrastructure, and internal systems while ensuring compliance with federal standards. Your expertise will directly influence secure architecture, identity and access management, and threat detection processes. You will collaborate with engineering teams, guide security best practices, and help develop automation to strengthen operational resilience. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cybersecurity, threat mitigation, and making a tangible impact in high-stakes environments.. . Accountabilities. Implement and maintain security controls across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure alignment with security best practices.. Collaborate with platform engineering teams to enhance Kubernetes security, including networking, configuration, and workload protection.. Design, scope, and execute infrastructure-as-code (IAC) modules for deployment and configuration of security policies.. Manage identity and access controls, guiding teams on least-privilege access and secure resource usage.. Drive federal compliance efforts and educate engineering teams on applicable security standards, audits, and post-audit activities.. Monitor SIEM platforms, conduct threat hunting, and respond to security alerts to proactively mitigate potential threats.. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detection logic and improve alert fidelity for ongoing operations.. U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Security Clearance.. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, focusing on cloud security, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.. Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., Palo Alto, AWS Security tools) and security pipelines.. Strong understanding of networking concepts (TLS, network security) and relevant frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls).. Experience with SIEM platforms and threat hunting in cloud/hybrid environments.. Familiarity with IAC, Gitlab pipelines, and deploying resources such as IAM roles or security controls.. Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CEH, CISM, AWS Certified Security Specialty.. Strong automation-oriented problem-solving skills and critical thinking capabilities..
