The Sr. Manager, Retail Inventory Planning is responsible for managing and optimizing in-store inventory to drive sales, margin, and store performance. They are responsible for developing a pre-season assortment plan and inventory strategy by store. This role owns effective management of retail inventory, driving sales through improved availability and forecasts to ensure desired in-stock levels. It is a highly collaborative role and partners with a variety of cross functional teams. . YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES. Pre-Season Planning. . Develop and drive pre-season, item-level sales and inventory plans that align with historical performance, merchandising strategies and financial targets. . . Partner with Merchandising teams on the seasonal assortment by style for retail. Provide analytics as needed to ensure seasonal line will hit financial and KPI targets. . Own curating retail product assortment by store (Style & color) by utilizing store clustering and Merchandise input on style and color rank. . Develop and implement retail-specific initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to execute seasonal plans effectively. . Prepare the deck and present channel strategies and forecasts in the OTB meetings. . New store inventory planning and execution including merchandising plan and initial store inventory levels. . Build seasonal outlet store inventory requirements for the following season’s assortment. Ensure inventory aligns with Outlet strategy and financial targets. . Allocation and Inventory Management. . Develop and implement allocation strategies, ensuring optimal product distribution across Stio’s retail and outlet locations. . Manage the timing of seasonal products and send backs, optimizing inventory flow. . Maximize sales by getting the right amount of inventory to the right stores at the right time. . Manage In-Season Forecasting to optimize for allocation and omni-channel inventory management.  Ensure alignment with tops-down, monthly forecast and channel goals. . Own adjustment of seasonal assortment in-season. . Support inventory management between retail, ecommerce and wholesale channels. . Manage Outlet store pricing updates according to inventory sell through strategy. . . Reporting. . Participate in weekly meetings focused on Merch performance and alignment between Central Retail, Retail Marketing and Planning on Retail strategies for in-season sales. . Assess the performance of retail planning initiatives and identify improvement opportunities for continuous optimization. . Establish and monitor revenue KPIs for the retail channel, tracking and reporting on performance metrics. . . Create seasonal hindsight reporting for next season review.  Partner with Retail Central team to gather store feedback to be used for next season. . Recap and analyze monthly actuals to plan and LY.  Present key takeaways and recommended action plans monthly to cross-functional team. . SKU Creation and Attribute Maintenance. . Oversee seasonal SKU creation. . Manage SKU attribute maintenance for Inventory Planning team. . Leadership. . Lead and manage the Retail Inventory Planning team and process. . Actively partner cross functionally to drive shared business goals and key outcomes . . Look for ways to continuously improve current processes, tools and meetings . . Commitment to our company Mission, Vision, and Values. . YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. . Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, operations management, or equivalent. . 6+ years of experience in planning, finance, or supply chain analysis. . 2+ years supervisory role/experience managing people with proven ability to build relationships and lead and develop teams. . Possess a clear understanding of financial measurements including sales, gross margin, return rate, months on hand, sell through, turn rate, and how to positively impact these metrics . . Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and processes. . Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, charts, logical functions (sumif, vlookup, etc.).  Experience with planning software is preferred. . Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with curiosity to continually drive for results and process improvement. . Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to drive business initiatives forward. . Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with the ability to prioritize and deliver timely work. . Willingness and ability to take on wide array of ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests. . THE FINE PRINT. . Must be able to work in a sedentary position. . The base salary range for this role is $85,000-$100,000. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of the range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications..
