The Associate Principal - Security will manage complex security and technology systems projects, guiding teams from concept through completion while ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. You will influence design decisions, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and help shape the overall security strategy across diverse projects. In this role, you will:. . Lead mid to large-size security and technology projects, overseeing multiple disciplines and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.. . Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams to develop, review, and implement designs for security, audiovisual, telecommunications, and IT infrastructure.. . Prepare drawings, specifications, design calculations, and construction documentation.. . Conduct site inspections, programming sessions, and commissioning to ensure projects meet technical and client requirements.. . Mentor junior staff, provide guidance on technical processes, and contribute to internal training programs.. . Develop business opportunities, maintain client relationships, and support fee development and project proposals.. . Track project schedules, budgets, and decisions while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.. . The ideal candidate will have:. . Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience; EIT, CDT, PSP, and/or CPP certifications preferred.. . Minimum of six years of experience in physical and electronic security system design for facilities construction projects.. . Proficiency in Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Revit), Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Suite, and G Suite.. . Strong project management, organization, and documentation skills.. . Experience leading teams, delegating work, and mentoring junior staff.. . Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage clients and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.. . Ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities, demonstrating problem-solving, decision-making, and emotional intelligence.. .
