Director - Strategic Sales (GovTech) at Weekday AI. This role is for one of Weekday’s clients. Salary range: Rs 4000000 - Rs 5000000 (ie INR 40-50 LPA). Min Experience: 8 years. Location: India. JobType: full-time. We are seeking a seasoned B2G Sales Leader to spearhead our GovTech expansion across municipal and state governments. The role demands strategic ownership of high-value projects, leadership in navigating complex government sales cycles, and the ability to secure 4–5 large projects annually (₹1.5–2 Cr each) along with recurring maintenance revenue (10–15%)..  . As the Strategic B2G Sales Leader, you will drive long-term partnerships with government stakeholders, oversee tender and RFP processes, and ensure smooth handover for execution. This is a leadership role focused on enterprise-level closures, government relationship management, and national-scale exposure..  . . Key Responsibilities:.  . . Lead end-to-end B2G sales cycles: opportunity mapping, tender participation, RFP compliance, demos, and contract closure.. . Build and sustain relationships with municipal commissioners, smart-city CEOs, and senior administrators across India.. . Present, pitch, and deliver impact-driven product demos and proof-of-concept pilots.. . Collaborate with internal teams for seamless delivery and execution post-closure.. . Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM discipline.. . Represent the organization in policy-level discussions, Smart City SPVs, and urban development forums..  . . . Ideal Candidate Profile.  . . . Experience:. 8–15 years in B2G / PSU / ULB sales, with at least 3+ years in IT, IoT, or SaaS-based system sales.. . . Proven Success:. Must have closed at least 2 government tech/system projects in the last 24 months.. . . Tendering Expertise:. Hands-on knowledge of GeM, CPPP, and state e-procurement portals with RFP compliance mastery.. . . Stakeholder Network:. Strong connects with commissioners, smart-city leaders, and government stakeholders (Western India exposure preferred).. . . Backgrounds Considered:.  . . Big Four advisory professionals with public sector project experience. . Leaders from GovTech/Smart City solution providers (e.g., L&T Smart World, TCS, Wipro, Honeywell, Schneider, NEC, Bosch). . Senior sales managers from system integrators / government-focused startups.  . . Languages:. Fluent in Hindi, and English.. Mobility:. Comfortable with frequent travel and full-time base in Surat..  . Nice-to-Have:.  . . Exposure to Smart City SPVs, GIS, grievance, solid waste management, or tax modules.. .
