You will provide technical guidance to junior engineers, enforce best practices, and support cloud-based database solutions. Accountabilities:. ·         Design, develop, and maintain database management systems, ensuring standards, quality, and security policies are met.. ·         Translate business requirements into logical and physical database models, including schemas, tables, and reports.. ·         Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and capacity planning.. ·         Implement and maintain ETL processes and data warehousing solutions.. ·         Automate database management tasks using scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.. ·         Support cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) and manage version control systems like Git.. ·         Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.. ·         Ensure backup, recovery, and data governance standards are adhered to.. . ·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).. ·         Minimum of 8 years working with complex database systems and data warehousing solutions.. ·         At least 5 years of experience in SQL development and database management.. ·         Proficiency with DBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.. ·         Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, stored procedures, and triggers.. ·         Knowledge of ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.. ·         Familiarity with cloud database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and DevOps environments.. ·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.. ·         Ability to work independently and provide mentorship to team members.. ·         U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance required.. ·         Preferred: experience with EDI medical claims, Agile methodologies, and advanced database certifications..
