Business Development Manager at Thanks. The future of advertising is beautiful. . Thanks (thanks.co) is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our US sales team and further our publisher growth and goals. You'll collaborate closely with our sales, product, and leadership teams to execute our vision of advertising that actually delights consumers, not just targets them.. You will work across all aspects of outbound for our mid-market and enterprise sales strategy with the goal to deliver new publisher partners to Thanks’ platform. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable researching businesses using a variety of online tools, and will possess the ability to network and communicate effectively across entire organizations - from Business Development and Product teams to C-suite decision makers. . We’ll need you to be a strategic thinker and an excellent communicator; someone who is able to think creatively to connect and quickly build relationships with prospects. We also need you to have an understanding of the digital marketing, e-commerce, or advertising technology sectors, and to have developed new business within them. Most importantly, you are a people person, and you are organized in your approach to sales.. What you’ll do. Identify and Grow Partnerships: . Work across all aspects of business development - identifying, researching, and approaching relevant businesses, preparing custom proposals, and working with our founders to close sales.. Build Scalable Strategies: . Work directly with internal teams to help build scalable go-to-market strategies and generate a robust pipeline of new opportunities.. Engage and Qualify Leads:. Initiate contact with prospective clients through various channels (introductions, cold calls, emails, social media) to introduce Thanks' value proposition and assess their potential and readiness for engagement.. Manage CRM and Data: . Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress in our CRM system HubSpot, leveraging LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other outreach platforms.. Communicate and Collaborate: . Communicate openly and clearly with the team, sharing progress, risks and blockers, while contributing to a collaborative and feedback-friendly culture.. What we’re looking for. . 5+ years experience working in sales or business development roles in adtech / martech, digital marketing, or e-commerce sectors - with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets.. . Experience in a fast-growing startup or scaleup business - where you’ve sold the unknown.. . Thorough understanding of prospecting and lead generation best practices, with a history of building and nurturing robust pipelines, and the processes that underpin them.. . Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough research on potential clients and industries to inform outreach efforts.. . Excellent communicator, capable of engaging stakeholders at various organizational levels, including C-suite executives.. . Organised, enjoys managing multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizes effectively, and maintains attention to detail.. . Ability to analyze market data and sales metrics to inform strategies and decision-making.. . Technical proficiency with CRM software (we use HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other sales outreach tools.. . Adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, with a desire to help bring structure to evolving systems and processes in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.. . Ownership mindset - someone who can work independently, actively drives initiatives forward and takes responsibility for outcomes.. .
