We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Actuary to lead actuarial operations and drive financial and risk analytics across the organization. This role combines executive leadership with deep technical expertise, overseeing forecasting, pricing analyses, shared savings projections, and enterprise-level risk assessment. You will collaborate across finance, clinical, and operations teams, building models, guiding decisions, and communicating complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels. Accountabilities. . Lead and evolve actuarial strategy across program lines, including ACO REACH, MSSP, Medicare Advantage, and emerging value-based care models.. . Oversee enterprise-level financial forecasting, budgeting, cost modeling, reserve analysis, and risk adjustment methodologies.. . Supervise, mentor, and develop the actuarial department, fostering a culture of precision, innovation, and high performance.. . Partner with clinical, operations, finance, and strategy teams to model care interventions, performance incentives, and shared savings opportunities.. . Guide the development of integrated analytic tools for risk stratification, trend forecasting, and scenario planning.. . Ensure actuarial methods comply with regulatory standards, ASOPs, and AAA ethical guidelines.. . Communicate complex models, risk assessments, and financial outlooks to executive leadership, partners, and board members.. . Represent the organization externally in industry forums, conferences, payer negotiations, and regulatory engagements.. . Monitor industry trends, policy changes, and technical innovations to inform organizational strategy.. . Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support organizational growth and operational excellence.. . . Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.. . Actuarial certification (FSA required; ASA considered for exceptional candidates) and membership in good standing with the American Academy of Actuaries.. . 10+ years of progressive actuarial experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.. . Proven track record in financial modeling, forecasting, risk adjustment, Medicare bid preparation, Medicare ACOs, value-based care, and claims analysis.. . Technical proficiency in Excel modeling, SQL, SAS (or equivalent), and analytics tools.. . Strong communication and executive presence, capable of translating quantitative insights for non-technical stakeholders.. .
