We are currently looking for a Rare Disease Account Manager in California and New Jersey.. This role is ideal for an experienced pharmaceutical sales professional focused on specialty and rare disease markets. The Rare Disease Account Manager is responsible for driving territory sales, building strong relationships with healthcare providers, and educating medical teams on treatment options. This position combines strategic business planning, customer engagement, and territory management to maximize product adoption and patient outcomes. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and office staff to provide accurate information, address concerns, and ensure ethical, compliant promotional practices. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with substantial autonomy.. . Accountabilities. . Develop and execute a business plan to maximize territory sales and meet brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.. . Educate healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, PAs, and office staff, on products using approved materials and promotional initiatives.. . Build and maintain superior relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target offices and hospitals.. . Achieve sales goals while adhering to compliance, ethical guidelines, and promotional regulations.. . Conduct calls both face-to-face and virtually to provide comprehensive product coverage and deliver value propositions.. . Monitor market dynamics, competitors, and customer insights to optimize brand strategy.. . Report sales activity, territory expenses, and call outcomes accurately and timely.. . Travel approximately 60% of the time to meet customers and attend professional events.. . . Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.. . Minimum of five years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 2 years in specialty or hospital sales.. . Experience in nephrology or rare/orphan diseases preferred; launch experience is a plus.. . Proficiency in working with specialty drugs via a HUB distribution model preferred.. . Proven track record of sales performance with documented achievements and awards.. . Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.. . Strong business acumen with strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.. . Comfortable working independently in a territory while collaborating with team members.. .
