In this pivotal role, you will guide a talented team in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust information assurance and cybersecurity programs tailored for our government clients.. Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. Additionally, all team members may be called upon to support proposal efforts as needed. This could include resume formatting, providing skills alignment summaries, participating in meetings, or contributing to solutioning activities based on subject matter expertise or functional experience.. Responsibilities. Serves as a recognized expert in the operation and maintenance of elevator and other vertical transportation systems, including issues of compliance with local (foreign) codes, predictive and preventive maintenance, and design for maximum maintainability and reliability;. Identifies projects through planning, coordinating, leading and/or participating in surveys inspecting government-owned and leased overseas properties, post requests for assistance, or through legislation or standards requiring modification to or replacement of current elevator or other vertical transportation systems;. Develops and recommends schedules of post visits, inspections and evaluations; schedules surveys, inspections and emergency maintenance and repair work based on available resources (including manpower and funding ), the urgency and priority of post requests, and the posts' own schedules; and confers with high-level post personnel to explain the purpose of visits, solicit cooperation, and coordinate project activities;. Assesses post requirements by analyzing survey and inspection data with post personnel; discusses objectives and potential program restrictions with post management; and formulates recommendations, justifying and defending them to higher level FAC and other OBO personnel as required;. Directs and coordinates the identification and evaluation of systems problems within elevator and other vertical transportation systems within assigned posts, coordinating with engineers and architects as required on specialized technical issues;. Establishes project priority based on the urgency of the problem, clearance requirements, etc.; schedules on-site inspections and develops survey reports and project plans for upgrade, modernization or replacement of systems or equipment;. Participates in the development of budgets and short and long-range prioritized plans, understanding and anticipating current and future customer needs and goals; establishes project priorities, milestones and deadlines; validates effectiveness and impact of projects on other FAC, OBO, CFSM and DoS programs and projects and current post systems, and ensures that development s in vertical transportation technology are integrated into long-range plans;. Evaluates post elevator and vertical transportation systems projects for consistency and compliance with applicable U. S. and foreign/international codes, specifications and requirements; provides posts and higher level FAC personnel with expert advice on elevator and vertical transportation system operation and maintenance ;and, as required, coordinates redesign of systems with engineering/architectural personnel, and conducts or directs the conduct of those aspects of the redesign not requiring technical engineering or architectural education or experience, to accommodate e or respond to changes in regulations, policies, legislation or technological advances;. Assists the USG Program Manager and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for the Elevator Management Program, with responsibility for: overseeing requests for contract actions; developing detailed scopes of work and Government cost estimates; reviewing proposals; offering input into contractor selection and recommending whether to hire local foreign or U. S. contractors, including assessing the capabilities of local vendors and contractors, and ensuring that posts have access to fully qualified technical expertise appropriate to the systems involved; directing or conducting preliminary site inspection or condition assessments to obtain baseline data; and conducting in-progress and final quality assurance inspections of work performed and reviewing final contract deliverables to ascertain the efficient and effective cost management of facilities and satisfaction of contract requirements.. . Active Secret Clearance. . Top Secret Preferred. . Willingness to Travel 50%+. . Willingness to report to office 2-4 times a year in Arlington, VA for 2-3 days at a time. . QEI (Qualified Elevator Inspector). . CET (Certified Elevator Technician) or equivalent. . 10 years of experience with vertical transportation systems. . 5+ years of experience of vertical transportation system oversight. . OCONUS experience in vertical transportation systems. . Experience assessing and approving vertical transportation system designs. . Experience reviewing and troubleshoot vertical transportation systems installations and maintenance. . Experience directing and coordinating the identification and evaluation of systems problems within elevator and other vertical transportation systems. . Experience coordinating with engineers and architects as required to resolve specialized technical issues. . Experience with budget management and planning. . Must have excellent communication skillset. . . Travel Requirement. This is a remote position; however, travel will be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions.
