Software Engineer, IoT Reliability. , you will own the health and observability of our nationwide fleet of IoT devices. You will work with embedded systems, backend infrastructure, and site reliability to ensure our devices are always online and performing reliably.. What You'll Do. . . Design and implement. systems to monitor, diagnose, and improve the health of our IoT devices at scale.. . . Build internal tools. and scripts for device setup, fleet observability, and QA automation.. . . Contribute to backend services. that support device integration, calibration, and reliability.. . . Investigate and resolve. fleet-wide issues by analyzing logs, metrics, and telemetry.. . . Test and tune. hardware products to ensure optimal performance.. . . Conduct periodic health assessments. and recommend improvements to firmware or deployment processes.. . . Serve as the primary internal contact. for hardware health, providing regular reports to the operations team.. . . Collaborate. with hardware and operations teams to propose architectural or process improvements.. . . Author and maintain. troubleshooting guides and internal playbooks.. . . Travel occasionally. for deployments and on-site debugging when necessary.. . What You'll Need. . . 5+ years. of professional software engineering experience.. . . Experience managing. distributed Linux-based hardware appliances or IoT fleets.. . . Familiarity with. observability and monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).. . . Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. , with experience shipping production-quality code.. . . Track record. of building internal tools, monitoring, or reliability platforms.. . . Hands-on experience. with Linux systems (e.g., dmesg, journalctl, systemd).. . . Background in. wireless connectivity technologies (e.g., cellular, WiFi).. . .
