Provide in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care in a compassionate, Fear Free–aligned manner . Support families through the end-of-life process with empathy, patience, and professionalism . Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation . Collaborate with Heartstrings’ medical leadership and support teams . Participate in ongoing training, education, and clinical development. Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets. Guide families in making end-of-life decisions for their pets. Build relationships with local veterinary clinics, serving as an extension of their excellent care. Requirements. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (. DVM, VMD, or BVMS. ) from an accredited veterinary school . Active (or ability to obtain) veterinary license in the state of practice . Must possess a . valid U.S. driver’s license. . Availability to work . some weekends. as part of a rotating schedule . Ability to . lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. and . up to 100 lbs with assistance. .
