We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced freelance bookkeeper to support our finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. This role is designed to free up our Finance Manager from routine responsibilities so they can focus on strategic, higher-level accounting functions.. Key Responsibilities: . . Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities in accordance with company policies. . Enter and maintain accurate general ledger transactions. . Prepare and complete monthly bank reconciliations. . Support the Finance Manager by providing clean, up-to-date financial records. . Ensure all data entries comply with internal controls and accounting standards. . Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner. . Help maintain a streamlined and organized digital bookkeeping system. . Required Skills and Qualifications:. . Proven bookkeeping experience (ideally 2+ years). . Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite is mandatory. . Strong understanding of general ledger management and reconciliation procedures. . Experience with Australian bookkeeping standards and practices. . Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. . Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. . Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset. . High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly. . Work Arrangement & Expectations:. This is a remote role that may be set up as either an independent contractor engagement or via an Employer of Record (EOR), depending on client preferences and legal structure..
