Accounting Associate (Remote) at Uptalent.io. Role Overview. We are seeking an . Accounting Associate. to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities. This role plays a key part in transaction processing, reconciliations, and monthly close activities.. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while working remotely.. Key Responsibilities. Record and post daily financial transactions, including journal entries, vendor invoices, cash receipts, and expense reports . Perform daily cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and resolve discrepancies . Support the monthly close process, including accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries . Maintain accurate and organized financial records to ensure audit readiness . Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes . Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to ensure proper expense coding and timing . Prepare supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts . Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports . Support audits and provide documentation to external auditors and tax advisors . Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field . 2+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing or project-based experience is a plus) . Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles . Experience with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems) . Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations) . High attention to detail and accuracy . Strong organizational and communication skills . Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Nice to Have. Experience with job costing or project accounting . Exposure to multi-entity or multi-state environments . Familiarity with inventory or cost accounting concepts . Interest in growing into a senior accounting or financial analyst role. Company Location: Colombia.
