We are looking for an influential leader with in-depth capital markets expertise and a keen commercial mindset to enhance our shareholder advisory and M&A practice areas.. Role Overview:. In this senior executive role you will leverage your profound understanding of shareholder engagement, shareholder activism, corporate defense, and capital market dynamics to drive strategic sales success. You will engage with public company boards, C-suite executives, legal and financial advisors, and institutional investors to provide powerful advisory solutions in the realms of mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, proxy contests, and governance. This role is based in Calgary, Alberta working from your home office - business travel will be as required..  . Key Responsibilities:.  . Client Strategy & Sales Leadership:. . Lead the entire sales lifecycle of complex shareholder advisory and M&A engagements, from prospecting to relationship expansion.. . Accelerate revenue growth across shareholder advisory, corporate governance, investor engagement, and M&A services.. . Cultivate strong relationships with CEOs, CFOs, general counsel, corporate secretaries, and investor relations leaders.. . Advisory Services & Market Insights:. . Act as a senior advisor for clients facing hostile or friendly M&A, proxy contests, shareholder activism, and strategic capital allocation.. . Deliver insights into regulatory changes, market sentiment, and governance best practices to bolster client decisions.. . Collaborate with legal and financial advisors to create integrated solutions for transactions and contested situations.. . Leadership & Team Development:. . Mentor and manage a team of senior sales and client strategy professionals, ensuring strategic alignment and client success.. . Work closely with governance advisory, shareholder analytics, and engagement teams to provide exceptional, data-driven recommendations.. . Strategic Growth & Market Expansion:. . Enhance Kingsdale's brand visibility and build strategic relationships at industry conferences and governance events.. . Forge commercial partnerships with law firms, investment banks, and proxy advisors to cultivate referral and channel sales opportunities.. . Identify new growth markets and service offerings related to shareholder engagement, ESG, and transactional governance.. .  . Qualifications:. . CPA (CA) and ICD.D designation strongly preferred.. . Over 15 years of leadership experience in capital markets, investor relations, financial advisory, securities regulation, or M&A.. . Proven track record of securing high-value transactions and managing complex, strategic sales cycles.. . Extensive knowledge of Canadian capital markets, M&A regulations, disclosure obligations, and institutional shareholder dynamics.. . Strong executive presence and the ability to advise board-level executives and legal counsel confidently.. .  . Preferred Experience:. . Experience with shareholder advisory firms, investment banks, proxy solicitation firms, or securities regulators.. . Familiarity with NI 61-101, OSC/CSA governance rules, and proxy processes.. . Proven ability to navigate contested situations such as shareholder disputes or strategic M&A.. .  . Personal Attributes:. .
