We are currently looking for a DRG In-Patient Facility Coder in the United States.. This is a fully remote, part-time opportunity for an experienced healthcare coder with expertise in inpatient facility records. You will review, analyze, and code patient medical records to ensure accurate and compliant documentation in alignment with national coding standards. The role allows flexibility while requiring attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a PRN capacity. You will contribute directly to quality reporting, coding accuracy, and client satisfaction. As a DRG In-Patient Facility Coder, you will:. . Code inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ED records, Home Health & Hospice records, and/or professional fee services using ICD-9/10-CM and CPT-4 systems.. . Review complete medical records and assign appropriate CPT, ICD, and MS-DRG codes per UHDDS guidelines and CMS standards.. . Identify unusual data patterns or documentation gaps and provide coding recommendations.. . Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, regulatory changes, and healthcare compliance.. . Communicate effectively with management and client teams to ensure quality and timely data abstraction.. . Demonstrate expertise across multiple service areas or in specialized fields critical to business needs.. . The ideal candidate will have:. . Minimum of 5 years of inpatient coding experience.. . CCS credential accredited by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).. . Ability to pass company coding assessments with high accuracy (preferred ≥95%).. . Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records, Excel, web browsers, and remote communication tools.. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills.. . Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.. . Commitment to maintaining certifications and staying current with coding rules, manuals, and guidelines.. . Educational background from an accredited nursing, CAHIIM, or other healthcare program.. .
