This fully remote role within California offers a unique opportunity to support a vital public service focused on air quality programs and smog check referee services. The Call Center Agent acts as the primary contact for consumers, assisting with appointment scheduling, program eligibility, and providing accurate information on multiple air quality initiatives. Working in a collaborative environment, the role involves managing inbound and outbound communications, data entry, and helping ensure a smooth consumer experience. This position demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for serving the community.. . Accountabilities. . Answer and triage inbound calls, providing accurate information on various air quality programs including Smog Check Referee and Parts Locator Service.. . Schedule consumer appointments via phone and web-based systems, ensuring data is accurately entered and maintained.. . Assist consumers in determining eligibility and completing application processes for relevant programs.. . Conduct outbound calls to remind consumers of upcoming appointments.. . Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all active air quality programs to ensure accurate and consistent communication.. . Collaborate effectively within a technical team to resolve consumer inquiries and provide high-quality service.. . . Residency in California is required as all work must be performed within the state.. . Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to screen and assess consumer needs effectively.. . High proficiency with database management and related office software.. . Ability to work independently while asking for assistance as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency.. .
