Mid-Level COBOL Developer at Workana. About the Role. We are looking for a Mid-Level COBOL Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise COBOL applications. Design, develop, and maintain COBOL-based applications that are efficient, scalable, and reliable.. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhance existing functionality.. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to high coding and design standards.. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.. 3–5 years of experience in COBOL development (Batch, CICS, or both).. Strong understanding of structured programming and software design principles.. Hands-on experience with mainframe technologies, including:. JCL. CICS. DB2. VSAM. Familiarity with version control tools such as Git (especially in modernized environments).. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus..
