We are currently looking for a Cybersecurity Sr Engineer – Vulnerability Management in the United States.. This role is a key contributor to the enterprise cybersecurity program, focusing on vulnerability management and cyber hygiene across complex IT environments. The position involves designing, implementing, and optimizing vulnerability assessment solutions, monitoring emerging threats, and guiding remediation efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead projects, and serve as a subject matter expert on security and vulnerability technologies. The role combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and mentorship to ensure robust cybersecurity practices. Accountabilities. In this role, you will:. . Lead the establishment, configuration, and maintenance of vulnerability assessment platforms, including scan management, templates, and integration with other security systems.. . Design, develop, and implement new solutions to integrate with existing IT and security architectures.. . Collaborate with Security Engineering, Identity Management, Network Engineering, CSOC, and IT Operations teams to address vulnerabilities and optimize security practices.. . Serve as a technical leader and mentor for other cybersecurity engineers.. . Monitor, analyze, and report on vulnerabilities, configuration issues, and remediation efforts.. . Act as a security advocate, ensuring adherence to policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.. . Provide technical vulnerability assessment services and participate in risk management processes.. . Manage workload, document activities, and pursue continuous learning in cybersecurity trends, compliance, and threat landscapes.. . . Candidates should have:. . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.. . 4–5+ years of experience administering, supporting, and designing vulnerability assessment environments (Rapid7 preferred).. . 5+ years of overall relevant cybersecurity experience preferred.. . Proficiency with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems.. . Functional understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, SOX, CIS, or NIST.. . Experience conducting vulnerability testing, analysis, prioritization, documentation, and stakeholder communication.. . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical and business issues.. . Professional security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, GIAC) preferred.. . Knowledge of healthcare IT environments is highly desirable.. .
