Accountabilities. . Underwrite complex cargo business in accordance with business plans, guidelines, and delegated authority.. . Analyze business prospects using product line expertise and recommend profitable risk selection.. . Manage key portfolios and accounts, maintaining strong relationships with brokers and intermediaries.. . Contribute to strategic plans and profitability initiatives by informing senior leaders of best practices.. . Maintain in-depth knowledge of legislation, underwriting systems, products, and organizational procedures.. . Coach and mentor Underwriters and Assistant Underwriters, supervising workflows and adherence to procedures.. . Ensure underwriting standards and practices minimize risk while maximizing operational efficiency.. . . Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.. . Relevant underwriting authority with demonstrated experience in complex cargo underwriting.. . Proven track record in managing multinational cargo programs.. . Established relationships with customers, brokers, and intermediaries.. . Strong commercial acumen, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.. . Effective communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation capabilities.. .
