ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES . The AR and Deduction Management Analyst manages accounts receivable, focusing on resolving customer payment discrepancies (deductions) to ensure timely cash flow. Key responsibilities include auditing deductions for validity (shortages, damages, pricing), collecting unauthorized deductions, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with sales/logistics to identify root causes. . Deduction Resolution:.  Investigate, analyze, match and resolve customer deductions (shortages, damages, pricing discrepancies, trade promotion, unauthorized claims) leveraging Modus deduction management tool on a daily basis.  Ensure activity in Modus system is complete and matches SAP activity.  . AR Collection:.  Proactively contact customers regarding unpaid invoices and unauthorized deductions to secure payment.  Monitor and drive Days Sales Outstanding improvements.. Account Reconciliation:.  Maintain and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate aging and timely clearing of items.. Cross-Functional Collaboration:.  Work with Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to validate deductions and resolve disputes and improve productivity of trade.. Reporting & Analysis:.  Track deduction trends, identify root causes for recurring issues, and prepare reports on aging or deduction metrics.. Cash Application:.  Apply customer payments, ensuring deductions are properly coded in the ERP system. . Broker Commission. : Calculate monthly broker commissions and review with Sales and Brokers for accuracy.  Post monthly accrual and review any discrepancies between estimated commissions and actual invoices from brokers.. Month End Close. :  Calculate monthly trade accrual and review with Finance and Sales team.  Ensure proper posting to correct GL accounts by key customers.. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.. 1–3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Credit/Deduction Management.. Proficiency in SAP and intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).. Proficiency in Modus trade management tool a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. . Core Competencies. High attention to detail for verifying complex claims..
