As a Data & Platform Engineer, you will lead the modernization of enterprise data platforms and drive AI-enabled initiatives that transform manufacturing and business processes. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement secure, scalable, and intelligent data solutions that bridge legacy systems with modern cloud technologies. You will work across multiple functions, enabling data-driven decision-making, improving operational insights, and fostering innovation. The position provides flexibility to work remotely or on-site at one of several manufacturing locations, and requires collaboration with stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to ensure high-quality, compliant, and future-ready data platforms.. . Accountabilities. · Lead the design, implementation, and governance of secure, scalable data platforms integrating manufacturing, business, and cloud systems.. · Maintain and evolve data warehouse structures, data models, and ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable, timely, and actionable insights.. · Optimize platform performance, reduce technical debt, and leverage AI and analytics to enhance operational efficiency.. · Enforce data governance, quality standards, and security controls to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.. · Support enterprise cloud adoption, including migration from legacy systems and integration with platforms such as Azure, Power BI, Snowflake, and Tableau.. · Build and operationalize AI/ML pipelines for predictive maintenance, real-time decision-making, and actionable insights.. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, operations, IT, and analytics, to align data solutions with business needs.. · Establish data architecture and governance practices, providing guidance to engineers, analysts, and stakeholders across the organization.. . · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.. · 5+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture and analytics, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.. · Hands-on experience with SQL (SQL 2016), SSIS, data modeling, and pipeline orchestration.. · Demonstrated experience driving digital transformation initiatives leveraging cloud, AI, and modern data platforms.. · Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC, ITAR).. · Preferred: experience with Azure IaaS/SaaS, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and integrating factory systems with enterprise platforms.. · Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer or related AI/Cloud credentials are a plus.. · Strong strategic thinking, communication skills, and ability to influence non-technical stakeholders.. · Comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives and traveling as business needs require.. .
