As a Chemical Warfare Material Program Manager, you will lead complex remediation projects involving chemical warfare materials (CWM) and other hazardous munitions. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, from planning and technical execution to budget management and field operations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in compliance with federal regulations. You will engage closely with clients, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This position operates in a dynamic environment where strategic planning, technical knowledge, and hands-on management converge to achieve mission-critical outcomes. Remote work is possible for qualified candidates, with occasional travel as required.. Accountabilities:. In this role, you will be responsible for:. Managing and performing chemical warfare material (CWM) removal under fixed-price or cost-plus contracts for federal clients.. Developing complex technical approaches and competitive pricing for CWM and conventional munitions identification and removal.. Preparing work plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring quality standards and regulatory compliance.. Leading field teams during CWM removal actions and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.. Coordinating with clients and stakeholders to provide status updates, technical guidance, and reporting.. Supporting proposal development and business development efforts related to CWM projects.. Overseeing operational, technical, and financial performance to meet project objectives.. The ideal candidate will have:. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, soil science, geology, or a related earth science field.. 10+ years of project management experience on federal projects, with demonstrated equivalency of experience/education accepted.. US citizenship (required due to federal project involvement).. Strong knowledge of USACE MMRP regulations and CWM remediation operations.. Experience developing and implementing DDESB-approved Chemical Safety Submissions (CSS).. Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and field operations for complex federal projects.. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational management skills.. Experience with advanced geophysical classification and handling CWM or hazardous munitions.. Demonstrated proposal-writing and business development skills, particularly for multiple-award task order contracts.. Willingness to travel as required.. Company Location: United States.
