Field Service Project Manager - DES Operations at Calibrant Energy. Position Overview: . The Field Service Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) of our battery storage, EV Chargers and PV systems throughout the US and Canada. The Field Service Project Manager (FSPM) will also champion and deliver on key business initiatives in an effort to reduce costs and increase technical availability of our operational assets.  . Your mission is to work collaboratively with OEM’s, customers, vendors, and a wide range of internal business and technology teams to successfully maintain the availability our projects within the US and Canada.   .  . Principal Duties and Responsibilities:  . Customer Success - Cultivate a culture of customer success among team members and partners throughout the O&M stages of the customer lifecycle: . Ensure internal/external customer satisfaction by responding to requests in a timely manner  . Proactively communicate Field Service expectations with OEM’s and vendors to ensure maximum uptime of operational projects . Communicate status updates to our customer contacts related to maintenance requests and vendor scheduled dates .  . Technical O&M Management - Work with customers, vendors/contractors, and internal company stakeholders to define, scope, and implement repairs: . Develop and comply with standardized workflows to effectively manage O&M responsibilities within the contracted scope, timeline, and cost to ensure a first-class customer experience/product  . Network with technical teams to define system improvements in order to optimize operations and improve the customer experience . Occasionally conduct site visits of our operational assets to determine issue root cause and resolve where necessary  . Create Scope of Work based on input from the DES NOC, customer request, and/or site visit results where necessary .  . Field Service Management - Direct critical field service management functions: . Ensure timely work order completion at high quality including the prompt resolution of any related exceptions . Facilitate work order checkout and ensure compliance with all related quality assurance measures  . Escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal team for follow up and issue resolution . Oversight of balance of plant O&M vendors and OEM scheduling activity to ensure maximum technical availability and customer satisfaction . Work with OEM’s, vendors and EPC’s to resolve warranty claims . Ability to review contract documents for information related to warranty periods by project and division of responsibilities  .  . Field Technology Management - Oversee and direct field technology management functions with a focus on high technical availability and reliability: . Network with upstream Project Engineers to identify possible improvements to installation and commissioning practices related to common equipment failures . Identify and promptly resolve all related exceptions; work collaboratively with other technical teams to determine root causes and develop preventative handling measures .  . Additional Duties: . Support and report on key operations initiatives including: . Optimize and document changes to established Field Services Storage O&M processes . Document newly created Field Services Storage O&M processes . Technical availability of operational assets in your assigned area . Requirements: . Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent technical field experience related to Battery Storage, EV Charging and PV systems . 3+ years experience with Energy Storage, EV Charger or Solar PV project O&M . Project management skills including ability to handle ambiguity, multitask, prioritize, set and meet deadlines, work independently, and perform tasks with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail . Proficiency reviewing EPC and O&M vendor contracts and RFPs . Construction experience in Power Generation, Renewable Energy, or Industrial Engineering facilities . Comfort with NEC code, as well as related codes such as IBC, and NFPA 855  . Experience hands-on installing, configuring and operating energy meters, inverters, industrial control and networking devices . Experience with medium voltage interconnection design including transformer specifications, pad mounted and pole mounted equipment . Ability and willingness to travel domestically . Understanding of advanced metering concepts, ie. SEL or ABB protective relays .  . Supervision Exercised (if role is people manager or leadership): .
