Comms Strategy. : Work directly with a portfolio of CEOs and C-level executives at prominent, global organizations to build and execute their personal communications plans, spanning their social media channels, op-eds in earned media and blog and newsletter content on owned channels. With support from your internal team, you’ll be helping to craft compelling narratives that advance client goals and ensuring they get noticed by readers in business outlets like Forbes and Fast Company, as well as by social media users on LinkedIn. . . . Team Management. : Oversee an internal team at CSuite Content consisting of a staff writer and staff social media content creator assigned to your accounts. Ensure their efforts deliver results in a timely fashion, advance client goals, and satisfy KPIs related to social media performance, media placements, etc. This is a hands-on role that requires coaching and providing feedback to your team, as well as reviewing and editing content for strategic alignment.. . . Client Relations. : Extremely important. Collaborate and coordinate with clients’ teams (CEO, marketing, internal comms, public relations and more) to ensure program objectives are met and to keep clients engaged and satisfied. Must have the confidence and experience to advise C-level executives, ensure deadlines are met, secure calendar time with busy leaders, and offer strategic comms counsel and push back when needed.. . . Editorial. : You will be ideating, editing and signing off on executive op-eds and bylines and social media updates developed by your team, keeping writing quality, clarity and strategic impact top of mind. Deep expertise in narrative and a love for crafting written material is key. Must have a journalist’s nose for a “good story” and the ability to frame complex ideas in a highly readable and catchy way for a general audience. . . . Media Relations. : Develop and nurture relationships with editors at business media outlets. You’ll be pitching content from clients for earned placement and actively seeking out new publishing opportunities.. . . Social Media. : Supported by a social media content creator, you’ll be accountable for the success of clients’ personal social media channels (primarily LinkedIn). You’ll ensure channels are growing and fulfilling strategic objectives, vet content from CSuite Content’s social media creators, and advise on community building. Must understand and be able to advise on LinkedIn trends and features.. . . Advising and Consulting. : You’ll be the clients’ go-to resource for questions/strategic input related to their executive thought leadership program. You’ll need to forcefully convey what efforts will move the needle and why. Aside from interviewing CEOs in in-depth, one-on-one sessions, you’ll meet regularly with client teams to share program momentum, strategic opportunities and areas for growth. Must be able to offer strategic comms suggestions and think well on the fly.  . . . Research and Newsjacking. : You’ll keep your finger on the pulse of current news in your clients’ verticals (primarily technology and retail), and find creative ways to insert your clients into these conversations. You’ll also stay up to date on leadership and management trends, helping executive clients incorporate this into their thought leadership output.. . . MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN CANADA AND AVAILABLE DURING EITHER EASTERN OR PACIFIC WORKING HOURS. . Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related discipline.. . At least 3 years of experience working as a journalist and developing creative, engaging stories, ideally in print. . . At least 3 years of public relations or corporate comms experience, either in-house or with an agency. (Ideally: minimum of 2 years working directly with executives: understanding the nuances and challenges of exec comms is critical, as is a strong record of partnership with executive leaders and senior partners.). . Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing a team of creatives (editorial, social, design, etc.) or outside contractors — including overseeing their ability to meet deadlines and fulfill program deliverables.. . Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and performance-driven agency atmosphere. You will be juggling a portfolio of multiple clients across different industries and collaborating with a network of partners for each client. High level of organization and flexibility is needed.. . A passion for writing, editing and communications strategy and the ability to distill complex topics and craft messages using the voice of executive stakeholders.. . Proven knowledge of LinkedIn (and ideally social media more broadly) as a vital strategic communications channel.. . Ability to work independently in a quite fast-paced, remote environment.. . You’ll be doing more than simply offering strategic counsel to clients; you’ll have to roll up your sleeves and implement it — and you’ll be accountable for results, month in and month.. .
