Accounting & Tax Manager at leadtech. General Manager Responsibilities:. Build and maintain an engaged, motivated, and high-performing team, identifying potential areas for improvement.. Lead strategic planning for team growth, including needs assessment, defining profiles, responsibilities, objectives, recruitment, onboarding, and integration.. Support the professional development of all team members, particularly Team Leads.. Identify training needs within the team and coordinate with HR to deliver internal, external, or cross-team training.. Set annual objectives with Accounting & Tax Team Leads for each team member and develop individual career plans.. Manage Team Lead vacation requests and ensure compliance with company policies.. Properly handle team members’ absences, including remote work, sick leave, and other time-off requests.. Communication and Cross-Team Collaboration:. Promote positive relationships and effective communication across teams and projects.. Encourage teamwork and collaboration to create synergies and drive continuous improvement.. Organize team-building activities to foster cohesion and a sense of belonging to the team, projects, and the company.. Operational Management:. Assist the Accounting & Tax Team Lead in organizing, monitoring, guiding, and supporting daily team activities.. Monitor and track team performance and daily tasks to ensure maximum productivity and service quality.. Anticipate and coordinate current and future needs with projects.. Provide continuous reporting to the Finance Director and CFO on team performance and operational metrics.. Specific Accounting & Tax Responsibilities:. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring account reconciliations and balance validations.. Work on improving quality of reporting and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual closings.. Manage the performance of US and China companies in coordination with our external accounting and tax advisors.. Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of financial data across accounting systems and reporting tools (SAP, Qlik, Tableau).. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.. Collaborate with other departments to streamline information flow and support business analysis.. Drive process improvements in accounting procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy, including AI implementation.. Lead and support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.. Lead and oversee the tax accounting function, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.. Monitor and implement changes in tax legislation, assessing their impact on the organization.. Collaborate with the rest of Finance, Legal, and other departments to optimize tax planning and minimize risks.. Your Expertise in a Nutshell. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Economics.. Knowledge of IFRS, Spanish GAAP and, possibly, other major international accounting standards (US GAAP would also be beneficial). Minimum of 5 years’ experience in audit at a Big 4 firm.. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Accounting Manager with strong analytical skills and data analysis knowledge.. Proven experience leading teams of 5–10 people.. Experience in AI implementation within finance departments.. Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.. Knowledge of Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.. Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and Google Drive.. Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities.. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and analytical mindset.. Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while delivering timely and accurate results.. Dynamic, proactive, results-oriented, flexible, and eager to learn.. Ability to communicate and negotiate with external third parties, including partners, providers, lawyers, auditors, and tax advisors.. Fluent in English and Spanish.. This role requires coverage in the afternoon. You will work from 9:00–9:30 AM to 5:30–6:00 PM, including a 30–60 minute lunch break, Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the working day is 7 hours..
