We are excited to add a Document Controls Manager to our team! In this role, you will stand up and lead . Elementl’s Document Control and Records Management (DCRM). program, building the processes, systems, and standards that will shape how we manage documents and records across the enterprise. We are seeking someone who has successfully built a document control and records management function before, including establishing policies, workflows, and compliance practices that drive consistency and efficiency across complex projects.. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of controlled documents and records, with particular focus on supporting the . Project Management Organization (PMO). through all phases of a new nuclear plant development project -- from initial site characterization and licensing through construction, commissioning, and final delivery.. Collaboration is critical:. you will work closely with the PMO, Operations, and other internal teams, while also interfacing with external partners such as reactor technology vendors, EPC contractors, and facility operators. Together, you will develop and implement efficient DCRM protocols and practices that meet nuclear regulatory standards and support Elementl’s growth in the small modular reactor (SMR) space.. What you'll do!. The Document Control Manager will . design, implement, and lead . Elementl’s enterprise-wide Document Control and Records Management (DCRM) program, ensuring compliance with nuclear regulatory and quality standards while supporting efficient project execution.. Document Control & Systems. . Set-up, build-out, and administer the Company’s document control and records management program, including policies, procedures, and supporting systems.. . Establish and manage workflows for version control, metadata tagging, classification, and approvals.. . Configure and maintain SharePoint libraries or other EDMS platforms to support efficient categorization and retrieval.. . Maintain an auditable register of controlled documents, including approvers, pending changes, and revision history.. . Oversee the storage, maintenance, and archiving of both electronic and hardcopy documentation.. . Compliance & Quality. . Ensure practices meet nuclear regulatory, quality assurance, and Company DCRM requirements. . . Conduct audits, oversee retention programs, and drive continuous improvement in document management. . . Promote and explain Company DCRM policies to employees and contractors. . . Processes & Workflows. . Standardize controlled templates, naming conventions, and change tracking across the Company.. . Oversee document review, approval, and release workflows in EDMS, including formatting, editing, and electronic sign-off tracking.. . Develop systems for periodic compliance reviews and document updates, ensuring accuracy and accountability.. . Partner with cross-functional teams and project participants to support document creation, revision, and release.. . Manage controlled access to project documentation and records in accordance with Company procedures.. . Collaborate with stakeholders to introduce innovative solutions, including AI applications, to enhance efficiency.. . Collaboration & Training. . Partner with the Chief People Officer and Training Manager to deliver training on new or revised procedures. . . Provide ongoing guidance to employees and contractors on document control and records management requirements. . . Manage technical editing resources to ensure document quality and consistency. . . Advise senior leadership with strategic insights and recommendations based on project developments.. . Experiences you'll bring!. The ideal candidate will have . built or established a Document Control and Records Management (DCRM) program. in a complex, highly regulated environment, with direct experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or construction projects. Experience with nuclear development projects is strongly preferred. You will hold at least an associate degree, ideally in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field, and bring . 3+ years of DCRM experience in the nuclear energy industry. (with 5+ years preferred).. You will be fluent in . working under DCRM systems that comply with ASME NQA-1 quality standards and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations. , and have knowledge of relevant NIST protocols. Experience with the Nuclear Information and Records Management Association (NIRMA) is advantageous.. Your expertise will span . electronic document and metadata management. , including the identification, creation, use, retrieval, access, and retention of records. You’ll be highly skilled in Microsoft SharePoint (content types, metadata, document sets, and site design), advanced in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign, and proficient in digital EDMS tools such as Egnyte, OpenText, Power Automate, and WebCenter.. Your . organizational strength, time management skills, and exceptional attention to detail. will ensure accuracy and reliability across all processes.
