We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Administrator in South Carolina or Massachusetts.. This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure expert who thrives in dynamic environments. You will oversee cloud and on-premises systems to ensure secure, high-performing, and scalable IT operations. From virtualization and Kubernetes to backup, storage, and capacity planning, you’ll support critical systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. The position is primarily remote, but involves domestic and international travel to data centers and events up to 50% of the time.. Accountabilities:. . Design, deploy, and maintain public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with a focus on performance, cost, and security.. . Manage virtualized infrastructure using VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM and oversee Kubernetes cluster operations and scaling.. . Perform system administration duties on Linux and Windows servers, including routine maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting.. . Monitor and improve infrastructure health, scalability, and business continuity with robust backup and recovery systems.. . Manage SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage with a focus on performance, data integrity, and disaster recovery readiness.. . Analyze and plan for future infrastructure capacity needs while optimizing current resource usage.. . Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, from configurations to internal process manuals.. . Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to align infrastructure with organizational goals and provide timely updates.. . . Associate’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in infrastructure administration.. . Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).. . Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments and container orchestration.. .
