We are currently looking for a Data Scientist (Forecasting/ML) in Latin America.. Join a high-impact retail and CPG AI innovation project in a fully remote, collaborative environment. In this senior role, you will design, build, and implement advanced forecasting and predictive models that transform data into actionable business insights. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to productionize AI/ML prototypes, support inventory planning, pricing, and promotional strategies, and deliver solutions that maximize efficiency and revenue. You will also communicate insights clearly to technical and business stakeholders while working in a culture focused on trust, continuous learning, and collaboration.. . Accountabilities. . Process and analyze structured and unstructured retail and CPG data to identify trends and business insights.. . Design and implement advanced demand forecasting models using statistical and machine learning techniques.. . Apply forecasting strategies to solve real-world challenges, including inventory planning, pricing, and promotions.. . Build AI/ML prototypes and proof-of-concepts that integrate forecasting insights into operational processes.. . Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to productionize models at scale.. . Present insights and model results effectively using data visualization and storytelling for diverse audiences.. . . Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.. . 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.. . Strong background in retail or CPG, with proven expertise in forecasting and demand planning.. . Deep knowledge of time series and predictive modeling techniques, including both classical and machine learning approaches.. . Proficiency with Python (pandas, OOP), SQL, and forecasting libraries (e.g., statsmodels, Prophet, scikit-learn, Darts).. . Solid understanding of demand patterns, seasonality, and price elasticity, and their impact on business decisions.. . Experience in prototyping, testing, and iterating models in cross-functional teams.. . Ability to communicate complex forecasting strategies and data insights to technical and business audiences.. . Familiarity with scalable cloud environments and distributed data systems.. . Nice to have: experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), big data tools (Spark, Databricks), UI prototyping (Flask, Plotly, Streamlit), and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.. . .
