DevOps Backend Engineer at Weekday AI. This role is for one of the Weekday's clients. Min Experience: 2 years. Location: Remote (India). JobType: full-time. We are looking for a DevOps Backend Engineer to join our platform engineering team. In this role, you will help build and maintain the infrastructure backbone, driving automation, scalability, and reliability across our systems. You’ll design and develop Kubernetes operators, create DevOps tooling, and champion GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.. You’ll work closely with backend, ML, and SRE teams to ensure the platform is cloud-native, developer-friendly, and optimized for scale.. What You’ll Do. . Build and maintain custom Kubernetes operators to automate infrastructure and application lifecycles. . . Develop internal DevOps tooling to boost developer productivity and deployment reliability. . . Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane. . . Drive GitOps adoption with declarative, version-controlled workflows. . . Optimize CI/CD pipelines for microservices and data workloads. . . Partner with development teams to design scalable, cloud-native backend systems. . . Monitor, secure, and continuously improve reliability in cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure). . . What We’re Looking For. . 2–6 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud-Native Backend. . . Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals and experience building custom operators/controllers (Go, Python, or Java). . . Hands-on experience with IaC frameworks (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, etc.). . . Strong understanding of GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux. . . Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.). . . Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container ecosystems. . . Strong coding skills in at least one language (Go preferred, Python acceptable). . . Exposure to observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) is a plus. . .
