As a New Technology Principal Engineer, you will play a strategic role in shaping the next generation of industrial automation. This position requires vision, innovation, and leadership to research, design, and deliver advanced manufacturing technologies that enhance system performance and create new capabilities. You will be responsible for driving automation breakthroughs across robotics, digital tools, and smart factory solutions, while ensuring alignment with operational and business goals. The role demands a balance of hands-on technical expertise, strategic road mapping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external technology partners. Accountabilities. ·         Lead the development and implementation of breakthrough technologies, including humanoid and quadrupedal robotics, vision systems, AR/VR tools, digital twins, and predictive systems.. ·         Research and adapt emerging technologies to enhance automation and manufacturing capabilities.. ·         Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.. ·         Build and maintain strategic partnerships with technology providers, development companies, and vendors.. ·         Develop roadmaps to deliver cost-effective, scalable, and high-impact technologies that meet or exceed investment thresholds.. ·         Provide technical guidance and support for troubleshooting complex control system issues.. ·         Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, R&D, and IT teams to ensure alignment on initiatives and execution.. ·         Represent the organization with senior management of vendors, consultants, and contractors.. ·         Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.. ·         At least 8 years of experience in electrical/control system design.. ·         Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer products, leading engineering and technology development in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA/USDA preferred).. ·         Proven expertise in developing and commercializing new automation and process technologies from concept to scale.. ·         Strong record of external partnership building and industry collaboration.. ·         Ability to provide both tactical and strategic leadership on projects.. ·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders.. ·         Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America for site visits, vendor meetings, and system startups..
