Key Responsibilities. Lead safe, efficient production across mining and processing operations (mine-to-plant integration where applicable) . Strengthen compliance with . MSHA/OSHA. requirements across plant and field environments . Optimize processing performance (throughput, yield/recovery, quality) using data-driven troubleshooting . Oversee maintenance and reliability programs for fixed plant equipment (conveyors, crushers, mills, dryers, pumps, instrumentation) . Drive continuous improvement (downtime reduction, energy efficiency, cost control, quality consistency) . Support projects, upgrades, turnarounds, and commissioning activities . Manage contractors/vendors and ensure safe execution of high-risk work . Maintain strong documentation and reporting for audits, inspections, and internal governance . Coach teams and implement standard work, training, and competency development. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Process Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy/Mineral Processing, Industrial Engineering, Safety, or related discipline (or equivalent experience for certain leadership roles) . Typically . 5–12+ years. in industrial minerals, processing plants, or heavy industrial operations . Strong understanding of plant safety systems, work permits/LOTO practices, and incident prevention . Familiarity with CMMS (SAP/Maximo), process data systems, reliability tools, and KPI reporting .
